I ran some calculations and it appears to me that you could run 10 Cree Athens-based fixtures on a typical group 24 marine deep cycle battery at shows that do not provide electricity...
Assuming that each bulb is 5 watts the total watts required for a 10 fixture system would be 50 watts.
In terms of DC current draw the load for a 10 fixture system would be 50watts/12 = 4.17 amps per hour.
A small group 24 battery supplies roughly 75 amp hours (Seavolt at West Marine).
Therefore, it appears that this hypothetical system could run for over 17.98 hours on a single battery (75/4.17)
Seems like the perfect system if it will work. I must be overlooking something because I can't find that anyone offers such a system. Why not?

On paper this sounds like it MIGHT work. The spec sheet for the Athens LED MR16 lamp indicates that it needs a 12V DC transformer to power these lamps; however, the spec sheet does directly address the possibility of using a 12V DC battery to power the lamps. I suggest you contact the manufacturer of these lamps directly and get his/her take on your suggestion.

Will do. I'll post back here what Cree thinks about the prospect.

Cree does not manufacture these LED lamps; they manufacture the LEDs used in the lamps. You should contact LED Waves, the company selling the Athens lamps.

Interesting...okay, because I have also been working with a designer at LED Waves for a couple of weeks and he said no problem running this system directly from 12v DC and he specked out a track lighting system for this application with custom feeds for battery. So, why don't you create a clamp-on system that could be powered the same way...hint...hint:) Personally, I prefer the clamp on fixtures to keep the light closer to the art...but I can make a track system work if I have to.

I am very sorry but we do not manufacture display lights or clamps.
Recommed you to use Brightcast camera. Various power supply including standard power adapter for long time shooting, and lithiumbattery come with the light or high capacity battery with D shape cabel.
